Position: 'Design Engineer (Brakes) 

Location: Bangalore

The Responsibilities:
To support Global projects by executing design jobs according to Global Development Instructions and Global Development Process (GDP) with specific focus on the Concept Gate to the Release Gate; and to deliver the final design solution WITHIN the quality, cost, time and features. 
* Design of wheel hub, hub installation using CAD system, development of specifications for bearings and other hub components..
* Design of wheel end brakes, brake installation and wheel end packaging using CAD system, calculations and development of specifications for brake system for vehicle. 
* Engineering documentation of drawings and specifications.
* Support to Purchase Department in component development for global requirement.
* To execute CVDE Projects with QDCF.
* To work with cross functional teams and with a global network of people within Product Development, Purchasing, Global Manufacturing and Aftermarket.

Required Competencies:

Education & Relevant Experience: Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering 

Business Understanding: Overall experience 2-5 years in the automobile industry

Knowledge:
* Good Vehicle Knowledge in the area of wheel end brakes, brake installation.
* Knowledge of legal requirements related to brake system is required.
* Engineering documentation drawings and specifications in KOLA
* Strong engineering fundamentals and good knowledge on GD & T
* Knowledge in design of casting part is must
* Proficient in any CAD tool.
* To be a good team player
* The environment is global; therefore good communication skill in English is essential.
