Position - Sr. R&D Engineer
Experience required for the Job: 4 - 15 years
Annual Salary of the Job: 6.0 - 15.0 Lacs
Job Location: Malaysia
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Research & Development
* Support in product design conceptualization
* Support in 3rd party new product development and commercialization
* Prepare the design documents eg. Technical drawings, material list, working/setting/operating instructions, acceptance criteria and product specification.
* Support in prototype building of new product & variants
* Source components & material for prototype building
* Support in development & type testing of proto assembly
* Carry out design activities according to ISO procedure
* Support in releasing & introducing design details into production line after type test
* Introduce value engineering & improvement changes in the developed product\
* Take charge to fabricate/machining urgent prototype component using in-house machine
2. NX Implementation
* Update new product drawing in NX 3D format
3. Technical Support
* Provide technical support where necessary to the Manufacturing Dept on the follow:
- Technical discussion with suppliers, sourcing for non standard items and confirming components from alternative source
- Trouble shooting & solution for product problem
- Update work & setting instruction, updating operating manual & training material
Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering (Mechanical)
* Min 5years experience in mechanical design & development job
* Required skills in mechanism design, sheet metal enclosure design, material engineering, ISO drawing standard, AutoCAD2004 & Microsoft Office & English proficiency
* Skills in switchgear design & development, 3D CAD Pro-E wildfire, CAD NX5, AutoCAD mechanical & Mandarin proficiency would be an advantage
