Chennai..... Project Lead / BIW Lead ( Chennai )

Educational Qualification B.E / B. Tech Mechanical Engg.
Experience Minimum: 6 Year(s) Maximum: 10 Year(s)

Job Role & Responsibilities To lead team to design and evaluate Closure Systems inclusive of mechanisms and linkages, trims in the Following Areas
Front and Rear Doors
Back Door
Hood
Fenders

Responsibilities:
Design of part and components in Closures while ensuring tool, part/component and vehicle manufacturability.
Coordination of design activity with supplier, and development of coherent styling, design of parts. Evaluation of systems, and taking countermeasures as necessary.
Ensuring compliance of systems to regulations (Existing, Future)
Competency Requirements Technical/ Functional:
Understanding of principles of design of Sheet Metal & Plastic Parts, Door Mechanisms, Glass etc. Technical Training in relevant areas as per requirement.
Exposure to evaluation systems and process of countermeasures.

Specific expertise required for functional area :
CATIA V5 (CRITICAL)
Understanding of GD&T principles
Exposure to relevant design standards
Exposure to relevant regulations (Current, Future)

Candidate with OEM experience preferred.
