POSITION TITLE : Design Release Engineer Body Closures (Senior Engineer)
DEPARTMENT : Body & Exterior Engineering
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design of Plastic/Sheet Metal parts for Body and Closures subsystems for current and future vehicle projects.
Engineering Change Management and design project management for cost reduction, quality improvement, and new design release projects.
Support Value Engineering and continuous improvement.
Lead Design reviews.
Work with Cross function team to meet program deliverables.
Attend suppliers, manufacturing plants, and other locations as required by the projects.
Support global engineering teams with local requirements.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
BE/ME Mechnical/Production/Automobile Engineering with 2 to 6 years experience

Must have worked for min.2 years on Unigraphics with expertise in Surface Modeling and drafting

Must have experience in plastic/ sheet metal part design
SKILLS /PERSONAL SPECS/ Tools
Excellent communication skills
Should have good knowledge of plastic/sheet metal manufacturing processes
Good knowledge on application of GD&T to automotive sheet metal / plastic parts and assemblies
Should have good knowledge of Mould/Sheet Metal Die Design
Exposure to Team-centre will be an added advantage
