Position : Product designer/Ergonomist
LOCATION: FARIDABAD
EXPERIENCE: 0- 5 YEARS
Principle Accountabilities:
Developing equipment and systems that are easy to use and less likely to lead to errors
changing vehicle design to increase the safety of the driver and passengers
Developing operational prototypes for testing.
Acting as expert witness in cases of industrial injury.
Dimensional optimization for the population and use of percentile
meeting with clients to establish the design brief, including the concept, performance and production criteria
Designing from the view point of biomechanics.
making samples or working models by hand or using computerised prototyping equipment
testing the design concept by computerised modelling or physical hands-on testing of models;
problem-solving and finding solutions to sometimes complex bio mechanical issues.
researching materials, processes or market requirements
Ensure products fit customer requirements from a packaging perspective:1.Proper palletization achieved by plants: ensure safety; drive productivity; run trials 2.Code, application, and aesthetic requirements achieved with graphics support .
Must Be:
In depth knowledge and understanding of ergonomics and its usage in vehicle design.
Body dimension and its application in design.
Ergonomics of seating, display and control.
Comment on design and provide design input.
Techniques for ergonomic data generation and use them in design.
Design methodology.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and psychology.
Knowledge of work organisation, industrial sociology and design and evaluation methods.
The ability to plan and organise a project through several stages.
The ability to work out costings and budgets.
Good communication skills.
The ability to work as part of a team and share ideas with colleagues
