Work Experience: 2 to 6 years experience in the automotive industry
with specific experience in the area of engineering prototype vehicle
development.
Job Role & Responsibilities: To carry out engineering prototype
vehicle development to accomplish product development goals.
Understand project requirements and planning for the various
activities required.
Preparing Bill of Materials for making prototype vehicle and ordering
of parts as per BOM.
Development and procurement of prototype parts.
Follow-up for supply of parts.
Preparation of welding and assembly operation sequences and check sheets.
Coordination and follow up with related agencies across the
organization for actual vehicle build.
Ensuring compliance of the prototype vehicle with drawings and specification.
Monitoring work progress.
Assimilating quality / manufacturing issues during the vehicle build
and facilitating counter-measures for the same.
Dissemination of knowledge gained or acquired during work for further
improvements
Competency Requirements:
Technical/Functional
Understanding of vehicle systems and build processes.
Knowledge and experience of preparing bill of materials.
Interpreting Component Drawings
Knowledge of prototyping, soft tooling and part development processes.
Ability to Analyze/ Initiate countermeasures for Quality Issues
Others
Target-oriented Team Player
Display initiative & desire to learn
Effective communication and project management skills.
