We have an urgent requirement for Steer Engineer with one of our MNC client for Pune location.

Job Location: Pune

Primary Duties:
. Develop product design proposals to meet customer specifications
and test requirements.
. Manage programs from concept to launch utilizing service
organization resources
. Insure design reviews are completed to support a gated program
management process.
. Provide technical support to customer for the product line.
. Prepare and conduct technical presentations (Customer and Dana
internal)
. Prepare and present design/test reports confirming requirements
have been met.
. Analyze warranty & quality data in order to develop effective
counter measures.
. Develop and support cost savings initiatives and proposals.
. Lead product platform configuration offering and complexity
management
. Develop key product application and analysis guidelines or
calculation tools
. Develop an in-depth knowledge of the target markets related to
engineering the product
. Create innovate product concepts to meet emerging market
requirements

Minimum Qualifications Desired:
. Education: BSME or related degree. Graduate degree in engineering
field is a plus
. Excellent mechanical aptitude
. Experience in commercial vehicle, agricultural or construction
industry
. 3+ years experience in steer axle and steering & suspension
related., 3 to 4 yrs exp in PRO-E.
. Experience in product design and manufacturing of the designs
. Understanding of and/or experience using CAD & CAE tools
. Working knowledge of Minitab, Weibull, MathCad, MatLab or
spreadsheet analysis tools not mandatory.
. Working knowledge conducting DVP&R, DFMEA and structured problem
solving activities
. Must be a self-directed, motivated, and organized individual who
is willing to accept responsibility.
. Project management skills
. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
