Position Description: Design Engineer
Position Open: 1
Location: Chennai
Responsibilities:
Participate in a team of engineers responsible for the development of Powertrain Controls System Components
Designing and modeling Casting / Sheet metal Components using Unigraphics.
Follow -Up with CTC (Chrysler Technical Centre, USA) as project moves thru development phases.
Documentation and Reports required for effective Design Reviews and to maintain the Design history.
Benchmarking study as and when required.
Uploading and downloading the Completed projects or Input data from CTC through Teamcenter.
Preferred Education
B.E. / B.Tech, in Mechanical, Automobile, Production and Industrial Engineering
Preferred Experience
Essential:
3 to 5 years of CAD experience in Product Design & development in Powertrain domain.
Work experience in Component & System level designing.
Working experience in MS office, UG NX modeling and Team Center (PLM) etc...
Knowledge in other 3D CAD Packages (Catia V5, etc) Preferable.
Good presentation and communication skills.
Desirable:
Good Knowledge in Powertrain Components
Good knowledge on Manufacturing process & Materials.
Experience with OEM and TIER I in product Design & Development.
Understanding of standards & testing procedures.
Language Requirements
Essential: English
Specific skill requirement
Good knowledge in product development Life Cycle.
