Job Specifications
Education & Training:
BE or Master in Mech Eng or equivalent
Job Location - Bangalore.
Relevant Experience Required:
3+ years of experience in CATIA V5
Overall 5+ years of domain experience in design of chassis frame design & Cab Suspension
OEM experience required
Good vehicle Engineering Design and Vehicle Packaging Experience. Experience in design for manufacture & design for assembly
Strong sheet metal manufacturing design experience
Strong mechanical engineering background with design calculations capability
Good knowledge on GD & T usage
Knowledge in Vehicle products and Specifications
Understand field issues and design countermeasures
Strong understanding of component virtual and physical validation
Skill Requirements:
Proficiency in CatiaV5 : GSD, Part Design, Sketcher, assembly Design, Sheet-metal Design, Drafting, DMU,
Good communication skills with English
Communication in Japanese language is an added advantage.
Job Responsibilities:
Chassis frame design, Fuel tanks, Cab Suspension packaging at vehicle level.
Concept feasibility studies
Design for manufacture & assembly
Conversant with manufacturing techniques of sheet metal forming & welding
