Primary Position Responsibilities & Duties
Mechanical Engineering Design support for Utility Vehicles Needs to perform following Mechanical Engineering Design activities:-

• Design and development of Linkages, Sheet metal, Stampings, weld assemblies and Casting Component design projects Utility vehicles.
• Performs as user of Pro-E system and provide CAD support to UV projects. (i.e. Pro-Sheet Metal(Must), Pro-Solid Modeling, Pro-Detailing, Pro-Assembly (Large Assembly Management)-Must, Pro-Welding.)
• Performs Tolerance stack-up analysis on the new or existing designs.
•  Identify GD&T and tolerance values in the drawings. * Work on design project and Collaborate with FEA team and complete recommend changes based on FEA analysis reports.
• Execute design solutions for field failure, warranty issues, improves cost, quality and performance based on specialized.
• Performs Tolerance stack-up analysis on the new or existing designs.
• Participate in FMEA and Design reviews for Mechanical design projects.
• Monitor and control project progress, timeline & Communication to assigned projects. 

Required Skills, Knowledge, & Relevant Work Experience
   2-6 years of experience in Design projects for Sheetmetal and weldment. Exposure to Utility vehicles design is preferred. 
* Pro/Sheetmetal (Must) 
* Domain knowledge - Must Have* Ability to independently work on Design Projects. 
* Design for manufacturability 
* Strong knowledge in Structural designing with Sheetmetal components using Pro- Sheetmetal (Must) 
* Strong knowledge of ProE with large assembly management and mechanism. (Must) 
* Strong knowledge in Sheetmetal Fabrication/Manufacturing methods 
* Should be aware of international engineering drawing scheme. 
* Strong knowledge in GD&T and its application. 
* Strong basics in Engineering Calculations. 

Key Technical Skills 
* Good basics on Mechanical Engineering principles, engineering calculations and fair knowledge on manufacturing processes. 
* Should have a good knowledge of material standards and engineering practices 
* Should be able to provide alternate solutions for cost and quality improvement. 
* Should be able communicate in English well both in written and spoken. 
* Should be able to develop Design concepts 
* Should be able to work in team and support team, based on the organizational requirement. 
* Should be able to participate in design reviews. 
* Familiar with Proto Development, Product Validation and Testing 

Desired Skills, Knowledge & Relevant Work Experience* Proficiency in Pro/Engineer modules and Wind-chill PDM Data Management. 
* Understanding of root cause analysis that can be used in warranty reduction projects 
* Knowledge of FEA analysis in order to provide technical support for loading and constraint development in FEA models

Description 
Support Track Feller Buncher and Knuckle Boom Loader Platforms for Frame, Support Structures and other sheet metal component designs. - Design mechanical components and welded structures that meet the set cost, reliability, and performance expectations. - Design and Develop new concepts for meeting CI and VI targets. - Design and Develop new concepts for meeting iT4 and fT4 EPDP targets. - Perform preliminary Finite Element Analysis using pro/Mechanical or ANSYS Workbench or similar tools. - Provide technical support to all engineers within TCI Forestry team.  

Major Duties 
•  Analyze failure modes and provide solutions for ongoing product improvement. - Promote TCI engineering capabilities as a platform team member at the unit. 
•  Facilitate clear understanding of technical requirements and design constraints between unit engineers and TCI team members. 
•  Develop and expand domain knowledge of Track Feller Buncher and Knuckle Boom Loader. 

Qualification 
Education 
•  ME / M Tech / BE/B Tech Mechanical / Automobile Engineering 

Required Skills 
•  Ability to Independently work & lead Design Projects - Design mechanical components and systems (e.g. Frame, Sheet metal components, Welded Structures etc.) within cost, reliability, and performance metrics. 
•  Analyze failure modes and provide solutions for ongoing product improvement. - Good in using Pro/Sheet metal for designing Sheet metal components, Weldment and Large fabrications. 
•  Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes. - Strong knowledge of GD&T and its application 
•  Strong in Engineering Calculations. 
•  Should have a good knowledge of material standards and engineering practices. - Should be able to provide alternate solutions for cost and quality improvement. 
•  Excellent in Communication. - Should be able to work in a team environment. 

Desired Skills 
• Proficiency in Pro/Engineer modules (Sheet metal, Advanced Assembly, Drawing). - Some exposure to Finite Element Analysis tools (e.g. Pro/Mechanica, ANSYS Workbench etc.) 
• Working knowledge in PDMLink/Windchill. - Experience of leading Design projects and international exposure. 
• Good in presentations & ability to walk extra mile proactively.
