Posted Position Title: Locomotive Application Analysis Leader

Role Summary/Purpose

The Client is an equal opportunity employer, offering a great work environment, challenging career opportunities, professional training and competitive compensation.The Systems Modeling team creates optimized concepts for new locomotives, establishes performance predictability, identifies risk and mitigation, and manages critical inputs to the subsystems. As a system Analysis leader you will lead locomotive system performance and application studies and run train-level simulations to determine performance including run times, fuel burn rates, required power & adhesion levels.

Essential Responsibilities
-Analyze and predict locomotive performance based on applications
-Assess locomotive capability to perform customer-specified haulage applications
-Integrate subsystem models to predict system-level performance
-Drive standardization & re-use across all product lines
-Conduct trade studies to drive sound design decisions & promote buy-in
-Assure the system design intent is captured in the System Functional Spec (SFS) & the Interface Control Document (ICD)
-Map out multi-generation plans for the locomotive Application Analysis
-Communicate progress to all levels of the organization

Qualifications/Requirements
* BE/ME/M.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from a reputed institute
* 10+ years of experience in relevant industry - Automotive / Locomotive / Aerospace / Energy industry
* Demonstrated technical depth and Capability in Locomotive Systems Design
* Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated integrity and commitment

Desired Characteristics
*Familiarity with locomotive application analysis
*Experience with AC & DC Motor Design
*Solid analytical ability with a high level of imagination
*Six Sigma training
*Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
*Ability to interface with and effectively influence all levels of the organization and external customers
