The candidate should have the following skill set for this Job:

Experience required for the Job: 5 - 18 years

Transmission casings & Shafts design and assembly.Selection of Bearings / seals and their fitment design .Low pressure Hydraulics for Transmissions.Experience in ROMAX (or) KISSSOFT & KISSYS with other exposure like testing and development of vendors/components.

Bench marking of contemporary Transmissions, Conceptualisation of housings to match the gear train and hydraulics, 3D modeling. Design Verification of shafts/Seals/Bearing arrangements/Pre-loads to meet function, life & cost. Verification of Detailed design, Cost optimisation, release of detailed 2D Drgs / BOM, Vendor Development Coordination. Development of Test protocol, design of Test rigs, Execution & Testing the performanceMaintain APQP documentation for NPDs

Design of Transmission parts perticularly Casings for gear trains of Counter shaft, Epiocyclic/ Planetary systems through Layouts and analytical methods.Design of bearing arrangements and their Preloads suitable for the gear train. Able to perform life calculations of the bearing system and select cost effective bearings/appropriate pre loads.Experienced in 3D packages like Catia/ UG/ Pro-E Packages in the environment of PDM/PLM.Experienced in development of products using Math Cad/ Matlab/... Experienced in APQP methodology & its documentation for NPDs
