- Chassis Design Engineer

Major Duties
Needs to design sheetmetal structural components and large fabrications.
Needs to evaluate driveline geometry constraints between tractor PTO output and gearbox on implement. Work on
Identification of root cause of failures in order to make design updates to reduce warranty
Design mechanical components and systems within cost, reliability, and performance metrics.
Design mechanical components and systems within cost, reliability, and performance metrics & Work in multiple functional areas and work with the supplier for implementation of design
Needs to review the designs (both models & Drawings) to meet the required quality standards
Should be creating new designs/ design modifications. Performs as user of Pro-E system. (i.e. Pro-Sheet Metal(Must), Pro-Solid Modeling, Pro-Detailing, Pro-Assembly (Large Assembly Management)-Must, Pro-Welding.)
Performs Tolerance stack-up analysis on the new or existing designs. Identify GD&T in the drawings

Education
Min : BE/B Tech Mechanical Engineering

Required Skills
4-7 years of Strong knowledge in Structural designing with Sheetmetal, fabrications and their manufacturability using Pro/Sheetmetal (Must) Experience in mechanical drive lines/shafts and gear boxes is desirable General experience in multiple function
Domain knowledge Must Have: Ability to independently work on Design Projects. Strong knowledge in Structural designing with Sheetmetal components, Weldment and Large fabrications using Pro-Sheetmetal (Must) * Strong knowledge of ProE with large
Strong knowledge in Sheetmetal Fabrication/Manufacturing methods Should be aware of international engineering drawing scheme
Strong knowledge in GD&T and its application. Strong basics in Engineering Calculations. Key Technical Skills * Good basics on Mechanical Engineering principles, engineering calculations and fair knowledge on manufacturing processes. * Strong kn

Desired Skills
Domain knowledge Desired: Knowledge about driveline/shaft applications use from output of tractor PTOs * Proficiency in Pro/Engineer Modeling, Detailing and modules like Pro-Piping & Pro-Surface.
Understand of multiple functional areas .General understanding of hydraulic principles and applications would be a plus.
Understanding of root cause analysis that can be used in warranty reduction projects
Knowledge of FEA analysis in order to provide technical support for loading and constraint development in FEA models.
