Deputy Manager (Proto Supply Base & Quality) 
DEPT: Protoshop & Engineering Services

Degree in Mechanical engineering with 4 to 7 years of experience from automotive supplier company in Supply base / Vendor development fields

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation and testing of proto samples.
Should have capability of materials planning and procurement for the protoshop based on application Engineering forecast. 
Identify the suppliers for proto parts development and develop them with quality standards. (For low volume and hi quality requirements).
Price negotiation and vendor management.
Decide parts localization strategy and prepare business cases.
Should possess very good knowledge in casting and machining processes and component quality assurance methods.
Proto documentation as per QS/TS quality standards 
Should have experience to work in ERP environment (SAP knowledge is an added advantage)
Strong Inventory management skills.
Ability to achieve the cost reduction targets.
Adherence to the proto delivery commitments (>95%) with no deviation in process and quality.
Identify the areas of improvement and drive them for implementation through Continuous improvement process.
Motivate the supplier to work for low volume and high Quality requirements.

Manager Engineer Support Specialist


ESSENTIAL SKILLS: 
Should have capability of materials planning and procurement for the protoshop based on application Engineering forecast.

Thorough knowledge on MS-Office tools. 
Good Knowledge of SAP-QMS module. 
Knowledge on engine aggregates & turbocharger
QS 9000 or TS16949 systems. 
Experience on automotive components. 
Experience of handling suppliers quality independently.
