Test correlation and optimization of Seating Systems for ride optimization
ADAMS modeling environment would include:
A/Car model template & sub-systems creation
Suspension characterization and modeling
Modal neutral file creation
Post-processing of simulation results and Correlation with test data
Qualifications
4+ years experience with ADAMS/Car and ADAMS/View experience with adequate knowledge of A/View command language, macros, and customization.
Seating system product development background
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Vehicle dynamics and suspension development background
Experience correlating CAE models to test data
Familiarity with data acquisition, signal processing, and vibration analysis
Experience with DOE and optimization methods
Tool knowledge

Roles &responsibilities:
Planning and executing finite element modelling & analysis projects related to automotive domain using CAE tools like ADAMS/CAR and ADAMS, Hypermesh, ANSA, NASTRAN, ABAQUS etc.
Creating finite element models and analysis decks for running various analyses including modal, structural, fatigue life etc.
Maintain project metrics including quality, costs and timing.
Results post-processing, interpretation and recommending appropriate design modifications to meet customer targets.
Preparation of analysis reports, lessons learned and other required documentation.
Maintain regular communication with customer. Resolve any open issues that may arise during the project execution phase.

Qualifications & Experiences:
B.E/B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering with good academic background
Strong problem solving/analytical skills
Excellent English language - written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of German/French Language would be an added advantage
3-5 years of experience in finite element meshing and analysis in structural and /or thermal domain.
2+ years of hands-on experience in finite element modelling using HYPERMESH or ANSA,in one or more of the following areas:
o Powertrain
o Body-In-White
o Chassis
Experience in modelling connections like bolts, welds etc. and integration of hybrid finite element models is desirable.
2+ years of professional experience in finite element analysis using ABAQUS, NASTRAN,ANSYS etc. in at-least one of the following areas:
o Linear/Non-linear Structural analysis
o Fatigue/Durability analysis
o NVH
o Thermal Stress Analysis
o Good understanding of Multi-body Dynamics that includes Vehicle handling,
Basic suspension analysis and contact simulations

Essential Responsibilities:

* Developing detailed component requirements; developing and finalizing concepts, performing detailed design calculations, finalizing designs, preparing validation plans, executing tests and ensure components comply with customer, regulatory specifications. 
* Needs to understand the requirements, do required design calculations and analysis and release drawings/specifications as applicable . Is responsible for interfacing with other engineering subsystems, drafting teams & manufacturing. 
* Must design locomotive Truck sub-system components covering requisition, productivity, service productivity & reliability areas.

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Bachelors/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical component design engineering. 
* Should have knowledge of design of mechanical structures. Should have knowledge on kinematics and dynamics of machines. Should be able to perform necessary design calculations and analysis. 
* Should have good understanding of mechanical designing concepts and design of machine members. Sound knowledge on Metal Fatigue, Weld design, material behavior, mechanical vibrations, mechanics etc 
* Must work on projects by adhering to processes with guidance do the analysis, design, test, or integration required to define and support assigned projects that meet business standards and program / product requirements. 
* Should provide cross-functional design support to component and system design engineers of other locomotive sub-systems. Should be able to resolve issues through specific actions 
* Should be able to work with CAD team to develop 3-D models and packaging concepts. 
* Must work closely with FEA team to define analysis problems, loads and BCs. Must be able to understand and interpret FEA results and drive specific design actions based on the interpretations. 
* Exposure to heavy structure design, Familiarity with design, test and analysis tools and systems is an advantage. 
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as fabrication, casting, forging and mechanical assembly procedures. 
* Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Must be a flexible to work in global locations.

Must have expertise and demonstrated skill in the following:
