Job Profile:

Designation: Asst Mgr / Mgr - Engine Testing

Location: Pithampur (MP, Indore)

Responsibilities:
* Project member for testing of diesel gasoline, gas engines and alternative propulsion engine systems.
* R&D engineer having expertise development and testing of diesel, gasoline, gas engines for automotive, industrial, genset applications
* Responsible for testing, optimization, achieving performance and emission targets for diesel, gasoline and gas engines, design and develop the specific engine control and OBD algorithm, EMS hardware, and the calibrations to meet the required emission target.
* Perform the engine dyno and vehicle testing and the calibration to verify and develop the required power, fuel economy and emission characteristics, manage engine development and durability test, thermal shock test, cold startability, chassis dynamometer test, calibration, analysis, etc.
* Write test procedures, reports/templates cost/time estimates, validate performance data and lead investigations into sources of errors, resolve complex technical issues, make engineering judgments regarding the quality of test data, design new test techniques and put forward novel solutions to existing problems
* Work with CFT to design and implement new facilities, design of experiments (DOE), engine development and data evaluation, vehicle application and calibration, selection and application of exhaust gas after treatment systems,
* Specialised experience in the field ECU calibration, sensors, connectors, EGR, DPF systems, handling of the various calibration tools, ETAS, INCA, EDC etc.
* Experience of working in Powertrain in carrying out engine performance, emission, fuel consumption, oil consumption, calibration, optimisation on test beds, test rigs and vehicle on chassis dynamometers, on road tests, reliability test.
* Understanding of instrumentation used in an automotive, industrial, genset test environment, such as pressure transducers, thermocouples, accelerometers, ECU"s, smoke meters, gas analysers, sensors etc. and a basic background in engine electronics troubleshooting and ability to read schematics/wiring diagrams.
* Proven ability of specifying and running engine development / functional tests and vehicle tests.
