Designation: Engineer - Engine Development
Qualification - BE / B.Tech (Automobile / Mechanical)
Work Experience: Relevant hands on experience of working on Engines.

Roles & Responsibilities
* Carrying out Engine Development Activities and meeting target.
* Conducting mandatory testing for Performance / Emission etc.
* Approve of Test Program
* Schedule tests ,monitor progress and guide engineers
* Record deviations and implement corrections suggested by Skilled Team Leader
* Analysis of Test results
* Preparation of Test Reports
* Plan Calibration and Maintenance of Equipments
* Review of Calibration data

Knowledge / Skills /Attributes
The ideal candidate would possess some of the following competencies:
Knowledge (What the person must know):
* Ideal candidate should have profound knowledge in the area of Engine Development
* Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Engine Testing Procedures for Combustion / Emission / Performance.
* Should be well conversant with the Test Bed Operating System (Puma etc.) / Emission Systems , indimaster and calibrating software and other Test bed Systems.
* Proven track record in academics.
* World wide emission standards
The ideal candidate would possess some of the following competencies:
Skills (What the person should be able to do):
* engine development and optimisation (performance , emissions, fuel consumption)
* engine testing, data evaluation
* fuel injection systems (distributor, in-line pumps, common rail)
* basics of noise measurement
* After treatment system
* preparation of reports
* project management
Skill Sets Required for Development Engineer
2- Wheeler Engines
The ideal candidate would possess some of the following competencies:
Skills (What the person should be able to do):
* engine development and optimisation (performance, emissions, fuel consumption) 2-and 4-stroke engines
* engine testing, data evaluation
* fuel systems (carburettor, fuel injection systems)
* vehicle application
* chassis dynamometer testing
* application of exhaust gas aftertreatment systems (catalytic converters)
* basics in noise measurement
* project management
Skill Sets Required for DevelopmentEngineer
(Petrol Engines for passenger cars)
The ideal candidate would possess some of the following competencies:
Skills (What the person should be able to do):
* engine development and optimisation (performance, emissions, fuel consumption)
* engine testing, data evaluation
